At least 20 killed, 50 injured in attack on VP candidate's office in Kabul

At least 20 people were killed and 50 injured in Afghanistan's capital Kabul on Sunday in a suicide bombing and gun battle at vice presidential candidate Amrullah Saleh's office. In the attack, a running mate of Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, was slightly injured in the attack. More than 150 civilians were rescued during the six-hour-long operation.

Pakistan: Karachi airspace partially shut till Aug 31

Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Wednesday issued a notice to airmen (NOTAM), closing the three routes of Karachi airspace from August 28 to August 31, reported Dunya News. All international flights have been asked to avoid three aviation routes in the Karachi airspace as per the NOTAM. The CAA has not given any reason for the closure.
