Nepal's coronavirus tally crossed the 13,000-mark with the detection of 475 new cases in the last 24 hours, the health ministry said on Monday. Of the new cases, 363 are males and 112 females, health ministry spokesperson Jageshwar Gautam said.

The decision to shut schools and universities in the capital was announced late Friday by deputy governor Mohammad Taghizadeh, after a meeting of an emergency committee for air pollution.
